Coach Ed Ching

Head Coach
For over 30 years, Coach Ed Ching has dedicated his time to our island's youth swimmers. His passion for swimming has led his swimmers to numerous international competitions and 7 Olympics. He attributes many of his swimming techniques and life skills to his late mentor, Coach Soichi Sakamoto (Maui, Olympic Coach). The renowned Sakamoto was innovative for his time, and Coach Ching has carried that same passion through every generation of swimmers he has mentored and coached on Guam.
Coach Don San Augustin

Blue Team Coach
Coach Don has continues to guide youth swimmers and students into a successful career path. He has played a key role in the success of this teams' swimmers since the early 90's. He is experienced and innovative , continuing to raise the standards of swimmers both locally and internationally.
Coach Andy Lee

Red /Blue Team Coach
Coach Andy began swimming at the age of 7 with the Manhoben Swim Club. He represented Guam in the 8th FINA World Swimming Championships (1998) in Perth, Austraila and 4th FINA World Championships in Hong Kong (1999) as well as multiple competitions in the International competitions. He served in the US Marine Corps and is currently a part of the Guam Fire Department's Search and Rescue unit as a Firefighter/EMT/Rescue Swimmer/Emergency Response Diver.
Coach Colonel Frank Flores

Red/Blue Team Coach
Colonel Frank Flores is a 1992 graduate of the US Air Force Academy, retired from Air Force active duty in 2017. He swam with Manhoben from 1982-1998, a varsity swimmer on the Air Force Academy's NCAA Division 1 swim team, and represented Guam in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. He earned 3 bronze medals during the 1987 South Pacific Games, placed 7th at the 2002 US Masters Nationals in the 50M fly, and is now giving back to his Manhoben family as a coach.
Coach Chris Duenas

Yellow Team
Coach Chris is a two time Olympian representing Guam in the Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Olympics. He swam in five World Championships: Melbourne, Rome, Shanghai, Barcelona, and Istanbul. He holds 3 bronze medals from the Samoa 2007 Pacific Games and represented Guam for the Pacific Games in Noumea and PNG. He swam Division 1 at the University of Manoa in Hawaii. Coach Chris has held multiple USA rankings and has been able to attend training camps around the world. He is a dedicated father and gives back to the team as a coach for our younger swimmers.
